Warwickshire Promoted

A superb team performance saw the Warwickshire Senior A team show their full potential as they won tight match after tight match to emerge Champions of Senior Division 2C in the 2007-8 County Championships

The team was undefeated all weekend although they were pushed all the way by Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Sussex I winning those matches by a 6-4 margin.

All players performed well and contributed virtually equally to the outcome, the team was Mark Jackson (P12 won 10), Ian Ferguson (P12 won 9), Mick Browne (P12 won 7), Rachel Pilgrim (P12 won 9) and Helen Turner (P12 won 9).

Warwickshire B finished 5th in the same division, with victories over Northamptonshire and Suffolk II, their team was Paul Savins (P10 won 3), Steve Bertie (P10 won 6), Chris Burgess (P8 won 1) , Navinder Matharu (P8 won 2), Samantha Apostol (P12 won 8), Dot Macfarlane (P8 won 4) and Tracey Fletcher (P4 won 0) Tracey Fletcher (P4 won 0)

Over 60's Results (weekend of 24th/25th November 2007)

Lancashire Won 6-4
Worcestershire Won 6-4
Cheshire 1 Lost 4-6
Yorkshire 1 Lost 3-7

Neil Wheatley won 6 out of 8, Graham Hoskin won 5 out of 8, Peter Roddy won 0 out 8 and Ann Lloyd won 1 out of 4. There were some good individual wins: Neil beat Mike Meredith and Barry Crook and Graham beat Malcolm Corking, Keith Powell and Mike Meredith.
